Crosby Acquires Straighpoint

Crosby was expected to complete the acquisition of Straightpoint on 2 January 2019. The manufacturing facility and headquarters are located in Hampshire, United Kingdom. This is where Crosby wants the load monitoring and measurents mainly based, outside of key locations in the U.S.

Straightpoint is a leading global player in the load monitoring industry and brings an innovative new product line to Crosby’s portfolio.

The company designs, manufactures and sells a wide range of wireless load monitoring equipment, including tension load cells, compression cells, load shackles and tension meters.

Crosby discovered opportunities to incorporate Straightpoint’s technology across their existing products. By increasing the access to and adoption of load monitoring solutions, together they have an opportunity to deliver new possibilities of safety and assurance to Crosby’s end-users.

David Ayling, formerly CEO at SP, will step into a new role overseeing sales, marketing, and product development functions for all load monitoring equipment. He will report to Robert Desel, Chief Commercial Officer at Crosby.
