MAX-ALLOY Grade 8 ALLOY CHAIN

The complete range of MAX-Alloy Chain is manufactured in South Africa from local high quality steel.  All the sizes from 6,0m to 32,0mm are manufactured to Grade 8 Quality with a mean stress of 800 MPa at specified minimum breaking force.

MAX-Alloy is heat-treated alloy steel chain specifically developed and manufactured for use in chain slings for lifting purposes.  Possessing superior properties and high tensile strength, it is also used in many other applications requiring highest quality chains.
In compliance with South African legislation pertaining to safe usage of lifting gear, working load limits applicable to MAX-Alloy Chain and Fittings are rated at a Factor of Safety of 4:1.

The working load limits must not be exceeded. WLL:  the Working Load Limits detailed in the above apply only to MAX-Alloy Gr8 Chain embossed “MA8” as illustrated above.
